2020 Season

The Lodge is closed for the 2019 season as of November 22nd. The access road will be closed at the second gate (~1/2 mile from the trailheads) as of November 24th. Reservations for 2020 open on January 2nd for Dartmouth students, employees, and alumni and April 1st for the general public. Please call us at the off-season phone or send us an email until we re-open in the spring.

The Lodge will be opening on April 28th and closing on November 19th for the 2020 season. We will be closed to the public between August 22nd and September 14th for Dartmouth First-Year Trips.

Overnight Lodging

Only Dartmouth students (including graduate students and Dartmouth Medical School students) are eligible for student rates.

Midweek discount, Sunday through Thursday nights: $5.00 off Regular and Child (12 and under) rates. No midweek discount for students.

Lodge beds are in the main building and have showers and toilets down the hall. Bunkhouses use bathrooms in the Lodge or composting toilet facilities. Bunk rooms generally sleep four, five, six, seven, or fourteen. Unless your party has booked a room to capacity, plan on sharing the room with another party on weekends and during busy periods. Bunks have mattresses and pillows; pillowcases and wool blankets are available at the desk free of charge. We recommend bringing your own sleeping bag for your comfort and convenience. Sleeping bag rentals are available for $8. 

*Dartmouth student overnight rates apply to current students at any of the graduate schools and Dartmouth undergraduates who are not DOC members.

Only Dartmouth students are eligible for student rates (children under three eat dinner and breakfast free). Children are considered those 12 or under. Breakfasts and dinners are served family-style in the main room. Breakfast is served at 7:30 am and dinner is served at 6:30 pm. An 18% gratuity will be added to meals for groups of ten or more.

Fresh-baked goods, coffee, tea and soda are available all day, bake-sale style. 


This spreadsheet shows rough availability for dinner and lodging. Yellow means close to full and red means either full or unavailable that night. We do keep a waitlist, so feel free to let us know if you'd like to be notified in the event of cancellations.
