Basic Info

Free to Dartmouth undergraduate students

The ravine lodge is currently closed for the season. We will reopen in May. All trails remain open.

Parking for winter hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing is available at the winter gate, which has been closed and locked. Parking at the winter gate is for head-in, angled parking only. Improperly parked cars may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense. Parking in the turnaround or blocking the gate is prohibited at all times.

If you are skiing or snowshoeing, be sure to utilize the new Put's Path, which bypasses the plowed section of Ravine Road from the winter gate to the fork in the road. Follow trail signs for "Winter Bypass."

There is NO CAMPING allowed on land maintained by Dartmouth College (land within the dotted boundary on this map). Please note that there is also NO CAMPING allowed on Ravine Road.

Please email moosilauke.ravine.lodge@dartmouth.edu or call us at (603) 646-6543 with any questions. If you are interested in volunteer trail maintenance opportunities in the Moosilauke area, please contact Willow Nilsen at willow.nilsen@dartmouth.edu for details.

Availability

This spreadsheet shows rough availability for dinner and lodging. A night marked with green means there is plenty of space, with yellow, orange, and red all signifying declining availability. Dark gray signifies a night when we are fully booked, reserved for a private event, or closed. We generally have more lodging availability than we do for meals, so unless we are closed or reserved, feel free to give us a call if you wish to just spend the night! We also keep a waitlist, so please let us know if you'd like to be notified in the event of cancellations.

Please note: we do our best to keep this spreadsheet updated, but it may not always reflect real-time availability.

Accessibility

The main Lodge is an ADA-compliant facility, with an elevator connecting all three floors and an accessible bathroom, shower, and bunkroom located on the main level. For guests with accessibility concerns, please follow the signs on Ravine Road for "Step-Free Access," driving down the lower fork of the service road and up to the front of the Lodge, to our accessible parking area. This is located in front of our workshop, and is ~50 feet away from the dining room entrance along a packed gravel and stone path. Guests with accessibility concerns are also welcome to temporarily park in front of the lower level library doors (directly in front of the lower level entrance to the Lodge, on a flat stone slab surface), though we ask that this space is used for drop-off only so as not to impede service road access by other vehicles. If you have any questions, please contact the Lodge via phone or email, and we would be happy to provide further details for you!
