We are now accepting reservation requests from the Dartmouth community (current students/faculty/staff and alumni) for the 2024 season which begins in May.

We will begin taking reservations from the broader community in April.
Our availability for every night depends on our staffing. Some nights we might have up to 100 people. Other nights, our maximum capacity may be 36 people.
Though there are additional dates that aren't available for reservations, here are some windows during which we definitely won't be taking outside reservations in 2024:

Only Dartmouth students (including graduate students and Dartmouth Medical School students) are eligible for student rates.
Midweek discount, Sunday through Thursday nights: $5.00 off Regular and Child (12 and under) rates. No midweek discount for students.

Lodge beds are in the main building and have showers and toilets down the hall. Bunkhouses use bathrooms in the Lodge or composting toilet facilities. Bunkrooms sleep two, three, four, five, six, or twelve. Unless your party has booked a room to capacity, plan on sharing the room with another party on weekends. Bunks have mattresses, pillows and pillowcases are available at the desk; we recommend bringing your own sleeping bag for your comfort and convenience. Sleeping bag rentals are available for $8.

Only Dartmouth students are eligible for student rates (children under three eat dinner and breakfast free). Children are considered those 12 or under. Dinner is served family-style at 6:30 pm in the main room. On the weekends, a hot breakfast is served family-style at 7:30 am. During the week, a lighter hikers breakfast buffet is available from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Please be sure to alert us of any dietary restrictions or food allergies in your party. An 18% gratuity will be added to meals for groups of ten or more.
Fresh-baked goods, coffee, tea and soda are available all day, bake-sale style. Soup is often available for purchase during lunch time.
Dartmouth students and DOC member alumni are eligible to purchase a season pass, which entitles them to overnight accommodations, dinner and breakfast. Season passes do not cover bagged lunches, extra services, over the counter food items or programming fees.

Season passes are non-refundable and non-transferable, cannot be used more than two nights in a row, and do not cover special events such as DOC Banquet, Sophomore Trips, Spring or Fall Weekends, etc. Guests wishing to use a season pass must still make reservations in the conventional way. A $20 no-show fee will be charged if a season pass holder gives notice to cancel 48 hours or fewer before a reservation.

Special group services can be arranged for groups of ten or more. A 18% gratuity will be added to lunches for groups of eight or more. Groups of forty or more may be eligible for (or asked to make) exclusive booking of the lodge. School, camp, and other youth groups are expected to supply at least one adult chaperones for every five children.
The Lodge’s main room or the Library - Lounge area may only be reserved Mondays through Fridays, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The conference rooms hold between eight and twenty four. The Leach Field can be rented for outdoor receptions. For all space rentals, we take a 50% deposit at the time of reservation.

Dartmouth academic classes and groups with overnight reservations may use conference spaces without charge with advance notice.
The new Class of '78 Bunkhouse is available for rental by researchers or academic programs wishing to stay at Moosilauke while they conduct their studies. In order to accommodate research groups, we will not take reservations from the public for the '78 Bunkhouse until the 1st of the month prior to the month of stay. For example, on May 1st we will open to general reservations for '78 for all of June.
For researchers and/or classes interested in using our facilities, please email moosilauke.ravine.lodge@dartmouth.edu with the dates you are interested in staying at '78 and a description of the research project or academic program. We charge the full bill up front when you call to make your reservation. Payment for a group reservation (more than one individual) must be made in full by the individual making the reservation.
Individual and small-group cancellation and refund policy:
-For individuals and groups of 15 people or fewer, cancellations made more than two weeks in advance will receive a full refund of that bill. (For example, for a reservation on Sunday June 28th, this would be any day Saturday June 13th or earlier.)
-For cancellations made less than a week in advance, none of the bill will be refunded. (For example, for a reservation on Sunday June 28th, this would be any day after Saturday June 20th.)
-Any cancellation made in between those time windows will receive a refund of half the total bill. (For example, for a Sunday June 28th reservation, this would be a cancellation made any day from and including Sunday June 14th through Saturday June 20th.)
Large-group cancellation and refund policy:
-For groups of more than 15 people, cancellations made more than one month in advance will receive a full refund of that bill. (For a reservation on June 28th, this would be any day May 27th or earlier.)
-For cancellations made less than two weeks in advance, none of the bill will be refunded. (For a reservation on June 28th, this would be any day after June 13th.)
-Any cancellation made in between those time windows will receive half of the total bill back. (For a June 28th reservation, this would be a cancellation made any day from and including May 28th through June 13th.)
Dogs are welcome at the Ravine Lodge. Owners are responsible for dogs at all times and waste should be cleaned up immediately. Because of food service regulations, they may not be in the main room during food service. Please be aware that because of the room configurations, you should plan to book an entire room for your party so that no other guests are surprised to be sharing a room with your four-legged friend.
There is no cell service or Wi-Fi at the Ravine Lodge. There is a guest phone available on the bottom level of the main building, should you need to make or receive a call. That number is 603-764-9786. We hope you'll enjoy being present and unplugged during your stay here!
Guests are welcome to bring beer or wine to enjoy with their meal; however, the Lodge does not have a liquor license and the crew cannot serve alcoholic beverages. In accordance with campus policy, hard alcohol is not permitted at the Lodge. All visitors, groups, and events must comply with New Hampshire state law concerning alcohol. All Dartmouth students and student groups must comply with the College's alcohol and other drugs policy. Drinking games are not permitted in the Lodge, bunkhouses, or on the adjacent grounds. All guests are expected to behave in an appropriate manner at the Lodge. Violation of any of these policies could result in a guest being asked to leave, a call to the local police, and/or, for students, a report to their dean.
Any guests visiting the Ravine Lodge may be charged a cleaning fee for excessive mess left behind or replacement of damaged property. Please be respectful of our space, which is a home to many students, alumni, and community members.
