Dartmouth Outdoor Rentals

Who can rent? Undergrads, Graduate Students, Staff, & Faculty with a Dartmouth ID. 

How long can I rent? All rentals are due back one week from date of rental. 

Can I rent gear for a large group? DOC led trips have priority access to our gear. If you are interested in outfitting for a large group, please reach out at least 2 weeks in advance of your event and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How much does it cost? Rentals are free for all Dartmouth Undergrads. While we work on an updating pricing structure, Graduate Students, Staff & Faculty may rent at no cost. Anticipate a new pricing structure at the start of summer term.

What can I rent? The following items are available for rental:

STORES
Omer and Bob’s in Lebanon Mall downtown has outdoor sports oriented gear (like bikes, skis and boards, racquets, and clothing). 

Gear Again in White River Junction, Vermont is a consignment shop for outdoor gear.

Five miles south of Hanover, the Powerhouse Mall in West Lebanon has an Eastern Mountain Sports and an L.L. Bean. If you can’t get a ride, there’s a free bus service in the area: Advance Transit.

In Norwich is Dan & Whit’s, a general store which also has outdoor gear oriented towards New England winters. Hirsch’s in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Farm-Way in Bradford, Vermont, also have an excellent selection of outdoor winter clothing.
