Go on a Trip
Trailhead
What is Trailhead? Trailhead is the Dartmouth Outing Club and Outdoor Programs Office's digital trip calendar platform. On Trailhead you can sign up for trips, browse by date, activity, or required experience, and create and publish your own trips if you are a DOC leader. Trailhead trips are open to all Dartmouth students! Check regularly as new trips are posted frequently. See you in the out o’ doors!
How to use Trailhead
- Go to Trailhead: doc.dartmouth.edu
- Select “Enter Trailhead via SSO”
- If you are a first-time user, create an account and add in relevant personal information
- Sign-up for trips!! Just click on the trip and select “sign up”
- Request any gear you need! Gear is free to rent!
- You’ll get an email confirmation that you have applied for the trip. This does not mean you’re approved to go on the trip. Once you’re approved, you’ll receive another email with “You’ve been approved!” as the subject line.
- You can view the trips you’re signed up for in the “My Trips” section
- If you can’t go on a trip, be sure to let us know by clicking “I can’t go” in the trip details
DOC Break Trips
What is a break trip? The clubs of the DOC plan and execute break trips which are multi-day trips that happen during the break between terms.
What makes break trips amazing is that you have the opportunity to meet new people from around campus and the DOC subsidizes the cost of the trips! Recent DOC break trips have included climbing in Nevada, kayaking in North Carolina, trekking in the Gila Range, and hiking in the Canyonlands of Utah.
The trips range in experience/ability level from beginner to advanced, and you don't need to already be involved with the DOC to apply! Break trip descriptions and applications will be available soon.
Winterim Programming
If you are on-campus during Winterim, we still have trips! Keep an eye on Trailhead during that time to sign up for them.
