Morning

• Wake up after spending the night in one of Dartmouth’s cozy wooden cabins. Brush your teeth, get changed, and prepare for a day of getting to know your Trippees, exploring, and playing fun games!
• Eat a delicious breakfast of oatmeal, granola, or maybe even pancakes! Fill up water bottles from a nearby stream and drop in iodine tablets to purify them.

Morning / Afternoon

• Start your trip’s main activity! This can include canoeing or kayaking if you are on a water trip, playing music, taking photos, journaling, or doing yoga with a facilitator. If your trip is feeling extra excited about exploring, hit the trail!

Afternoon

• Lunch break! Find a good spot under a shady tree or on a scenic lookout.
• Lunch might be a sunbutter and jelly pita, hummus and cheese with vegetables on a tortilla, deli meats, etc. 
• While digesting, make friendship bracelets, have a rock skipping competition on a nearby pond, or play a board game!
• Continue the morning activities or do something different!

Evening

• Start cooking dinner! FYT classics include Annie's mac and cheese and burrito bowls.
• Chow down and enjoy a long dinner and conversation with your trip. 
• Clean up dinner. Your trip leaders will help you make sure that you leave no trace. 

Night

• Play bonding games, take some self-reflective down time, or talk about life at Dartmouth before heading outside to stargaze.
• Brush your teeth and get into sleeping bags. 
• Bed time! Rest up before a day of fun activities tomorrow. 

Morning

• Wake up at your campsite, eat breakfast with your trip, and head to the Oak Hill Outdoor Center for your mountain biking session. At this point, you will have already learned about the gear you are working with!
• Gear up with a bike and helmet provided by experienced upperclassmen, then hit the trails! Expect some laughs, some BIKE GAMES!™️, and plenty of encouragement from your Trip Leaders and fellow trippees as you challenge yourself at your own pace. These trails are oriented especially for beginners, so expect a gradual learning pace!

Afternoon

• Head back to camp and grab lunch with your trip.
• Enjoy free time to explore the area around your campsite, play games, journal, or just relax and get to know your Trippees and Trip Leaders.

Evening

• Cook dinner as a trip and enjoy a long meal together at camp.
• If it's the end of your biking days, join the other mountain biking trips for an evening gathering–think sweet treats, advice from upperclassmen, and a round of The Hat Game to swap stories about the transition to Dartmouth.

Night

• Head back to camp, brush your teeth, and settle into your sleeping bag.
• Bedtime! Rest up before another day of adventure.

Morning

• Wake up at your campsite after a cozy night under a tarp. Brush your teeth, get changed, and get ready for a day of hiking!
• Eat a delicious breakfast of oatmeal with various toppings and get energized for your hike!
• Pack up camp–take down the tarps, load group gear into your backpacks, and fill up water bottles at a nearby stream (make sure to drop in iodine tablets to purify!)
• Take off hiking for the day! Chat with your Trip Leaders and fellow Trippees, play trail games, and take breaks when needed–snacks are encouraged, and you’ll have many options!

Afternoon

• Break for lunch–find a good spot under a shady tree or on a scenic lookout.
• Lunch might be a sunbutter and jelly pita or hummus and cheese on a pita!
• Wrap up your lunch conversations and stretch out before finishing your hike for the day.
• Arrive at your campsite before dark and set up tarps, your bear bag, unpack any group gear, and refill water bottles once more.

Evening

• Start cooking dinner. First-Year Trips classics include Annie’s Mac or a delectable taco bowl.
• Chow down and enjoy a long dinner and conversation with your trip.
• Clean up and leave no trace!

Night

• Brush your teeth and get sleeping bags and pads set up under the tarp.
• Do a bonding activity inside or under the stars with your trip–maybe another fun game, maybe a conversation about the transition to college!
• Bedtime! Rest up before another day of hiking tomorrow.

Morning

• Wake up at your campsite, eat breakfast with your trip, fill up water bottles, and pack the gear you'll need for the day.
• Walk or take a shuttle to one of a few climbing areas near Mount Sunapee – your trip's exact spot depends on the day, but expect a couple miles on the trail with plenty of chances to chat with your leaders and fellow trippees along the way.

Afternoon

• Arrive at the climbing area and eat lunch with Sunapee Croo, a group of climbing experienced upperclassmen, before gearing up.
• Sunapee Croo will get you geared up and "show you the ropes" – then it's climbing time! 
• Spend the afternoon working your way up the rock face, cheering on your fellow Trippees, and learning the basics of belaying and technique.
• Head back toward camp, either hiking or catching a shuttle with Sunapee Croo, taking in views of the surrounding lakes and mountains along the way.

Evening

• Downtime at camp! Rest, read, play games, or hang out by a nearby lake to cool off.
• Cook dinner as a trip and enjoy a long meal together at camp.
• Head to Lake Sunapee beach for an evening hangout, then visit the Sunapee Croo campsite for games and s'mores under the stars.

Night

• Head back to camp, brush your teeth, and settle into your sleeping bag.
• Bedtime! Rest up before another day of adventure.
